After spending late 2017 taking multiple newborn photography posing and safety classes, I opened my newborn studio in my home in January of 2018 and took a handful of models to test out what I had learned and build a small portfolio before taking clients a couple months later. Newborn photography was one of the most difficult genres I have ever done but it was also one of the most rewarding! I made my own prop outfits (all of the outfits in these photos were made by me) and that led to opening a newborn prop shop in the fall of 2018.
In early 2019 my husband got orders to Washington D.C and we were set to move in the summer of 2019. So I closed my newborn studio in April and took my last newborn session at the end of May. Here are some of my favorite newborn photographs I took over that time.
